Neighbors to Neighbors Update People in the Blue Ridge School District are becoming more excited as they learn more about the Neighbors to Neighbors program. This group of volunteers will be making repairs on a home in our school district on July 13th and 20th, 2019. Ten churches have been invited to be the nucleus of this effort, but volunteers will come from throughout our three communities. Applications have been distributed through several sources and a committee of people in the district will review them after February 25th. Applications are available through the following churches: Bellflower Christian, Farmer City Christian, Mansfield Church of the Nazarene, Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Trinity Church, Bellflower United Methodist Church, Farmer City United Methodist Church, Weedman United Methodist Church, Mansfield United Methodist Church, and Victory Christian Center. By March 29th, a home will be chosen. It is expected that the cost for this effort will be around $5,000. A more exact figure will be available at a later date. Donations for Neighbors to Neighbors can be made at the Heartland Bank and Trust in Farmer City. In the meantime, we ask for your prayers for this first ever community-wide volunteer effort. Volunteers of all sorts will be recruited as we get closer to July. Please call 217-737-4948 for information or to volunteer. What a wonderful, positive experience this will be for our community!
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:37-89
